New York - Book Launch The Two Krishna's by Ghalib Shiraz Dhalla October 20, 2011
Co-presented by The Indo-American Arts Council, the South Asian Lesbian Gay Association (SALGA), and Sholay Productions, the book launch event for Ghalib Shiraz Dhalla’s second novel, Two Krishnas, will take place on Thursday, October 20 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Sundaram Tagore Gallery.
THE TWO KRISHNAS, published by Magnus Books in 2011, is a sensual and searing exploration of infidelity and the nature of imperilled desire and faith. Pooja Kapoor, a betrayed wife and mother, is forced to question her faith and marriage when she discovers that her husband Rahul has fallen in love with Atif, a young Muslim man. Bereft and desperate for divine intervention, she is compelled to confront painful truths about the past, the duality in God and husband, and the secrets that threaten to destroy everything in their wake.
