Serena Chopra explores ideas around politics, development and migration that are interconnected to her own experiences. Her intimate photographic style combines portraiture, interiors and exteriors, and offers a portal into the lives of the people and places she documents, without intrusion. Her work is in the collections of the Harvard Art Museums, Cambridge, Massachusetts; Nelson-Atkins Museum, Kansas City, Missouri; and the Partition Museum, India.
Esa Epstein is an archivist, curator and director of sepiaEYE gallery which focuses on the rediscovery of lesser known artists and significant periods within the history of photography. Exhibitions she has curated have been mounted in galleries and museums around the world and reviewed in The New York Times, The New Yorker, ARTnews and Art in America.
