California

The title of this solo exhibition at Northern California’s Bolinas Museum is inspired by a series of 1,347 daily drawings Miya Ando created during the Covid lockdowns. The drawings were made with natural indigo dye and micronized pure silver on washi and Hahnemühle paper. Many pieces in the exhibition, including 30 moon drawings, link directly to Ando’s deep relationship with Bolinas and coastal Northern California environments.
