Hiroshi Senju was recently honored with the 77th Imperial Prize and the Japan Art Academy Prize. The award has been presented annually since 1941 by the Japan Art Academy, one of the most respected art institutions in the country. It recognizes individuals who have made distinguished contributions to the advancement of art.
