New York artist Ghiora Aharoni will be in Chelsea gallery on Saturday, April 2, 3 PM, to talk about his sculpture, mixed-media installations and photography on view in Inception.
The Israeli-born American artist delves deeply into our intercultural connections. His intricate works incorporate iconography and sacred text referencing scientific, spiritual, mystical and cultural beliefs surrounding diverse creation narratives. Using antique and vintage religious artifacts, laboratory equipment and elements from the natural world, Aharoni creates illuminated sculptures that are self-contained symbolic universes exploring exploring the fluidity of time and how diverse narratives coalesce and intersect.
