Please join us at Sundaram Tagore Chelsea as we present new paintings and installations by Miya Ando, who explores concepts of time and transformation in her New York-based practice. Ando, who is known for her sublime metal canvases in luminous gradients of color, is a practicing Buddhist who infuses her work with her spiritual beliefs and focuses on the interconnectivity between artwork and viewer. For this exhibition, she introduces work inspired by atmospheric phenomena—clouds, mist and the dawn sky—along with gleaming, silver-nitrate–coated wood constructions.
