Press Release

Please join us as we open three distinct exhibitions reflecting the gallery’s longstanding commitment to cross-cultural dialogue, material innovation, and presenting compelling perspectives from around the world.

Monumental, an exhibition featuring ambitious works of varying scale, marks our first presentation of work by Lebanese American artist Nabil Nahas (b. 1949, Beirut), known for extravagantly textured, multi-layered paintings articulated in vivid color. Also on view are sculptures by glass artist Preston Singletary (Tlingit, European, Filipino, b. 1963) as well as paintings and sculptures by a global group of gallery artists.

On The Road, a photography exhibition inspired by Jack Kerouac’s seminal 1957 novel, features images by Karen Knorr in collaboration with artist Anna Fox from their series and book U.S. Route 1 (After Berenice Abbott), alongside photographs by gallery artists Edward Burtynsky, Steve McCurry and Sebastião Salgado. Los Angeles–based visual artist and actor Toby Huss (b. 1966, Iowa) presents images from his ongoing exploration of the American landscape.

The exhibitions are complemented by a three-day solo presentation of contemporary barkcloth paintings by Lehuauakea, a Native Hawaiian interdisciplinary artist and barkcloth maker. Lehuauakea is a 2025 recipient of the Emerging Native Arts Grant from the Walker Youngbird Foundation, a Native-led nonprofit that supports emerging Indigenous artists across North America through fellowships, exhibitions, and institutional partnerships.
