Gallery artist Miya Ando will speak at Asia Society Texas November 16 from 1:15 to 3:30 PM. Ando will talk about the inspiration she draws from the Buddhist text, the Heart Sutra, and how it relates to the work in her solo exhibition at Asia Society Texas Center titled Form Is Emptiness, Emptiness Is Form, as well as her studio processes as they relate to working with elemental materials such as wood, metal and light.
The exhibition runs from November 16, 2019, to March 29, 2020.
