Hiroshi Senju created a thirty-foot-wide folding screen for the Smithsonian’s National Museum of Asian Art using mineral-based pigments long central to Japanese painting. The screen is on view in the exhibition Into the Waters with Senju and Bingyi: Two Contemporary Paintings, Sackler Gallery, April 2 – September 27, 2026.
