师承Mark Rothko及RoberMotherwell，澳洲美籍艺术家Denise Green将于纽约CHELSEA圣德拉姆泰戈尔画廊举行其第二次个人展览，展出八幅全新的绘画，及九幅照片与绘画混合媒体作品。
Denise Green这一系列的作品首度融合了摄影与绘画艺术，标志着一次戏剧化的风格转变。她的灵感来自近期的探索，把不同大小的照片和图画并置，构成一种新的表现方法，其作品曾于德国奥格斯堡Neue Galerieim Höhmannhaus（2011年）展览。 2015年，她为澳洲本迪哥La Trobe大学视觉艺术中心的外观作装置设计，当中包括一幅15 x 45呎的照片，配以相等高度的七幅绘画作品。
是次展览包括五幅高七呎，结合绘画与照片的大型作品。作品中的照片虽然与绘画大小相同且并置，然而画像并非回应照片。大部份图像于绘画时并没有把照片形象投射至脑海中。相反，绘画作品为艺术家脑海里浮现的不同状态，赋予照片与绘画视觉上的生命，两者相辅相成，没有主次之分。部份照片取自原始来源，然后被数码化及加以运用，其他照片则根据艺术家的具体指示而创作。对于Green而言，每一件作品各具其重要意义。
Green谓：「我发现写实的照片与抽象绘画并非对立，相反能互相呼应。刚开始时，我运用指示影像，之后加以发展其原型或抽象的形象，而舍弃其描述功能。 」「我的画作体现了一个由抽象图像组成，富有丰富想像力的世界。过去一年，我以加入写实的照片及抽象的绘画，使我达到一个全新的创作风格。 」
这种新风格使画布上的绘画抽象却充满能量。 Green重塑重要的视觉主题，例如鲜艳的色彩域和风扇形状，但她也融合了新的元素，包括紧密盘绕的线条，使人联想到美术书法的曲线。这些作品贯彻Green的风格，是美丽的、沉思的，以含蓄的叙事，表现非线性和抽象的作品。
Denise Green生于澳洲，并于1969年移居纽约。她以西方的现代主义传统为创作基础，于Hunter College师承Rothko及Motherwell。Green早年曾旅居澳洲和印度，所以作品也揉合澳洲原住民及东方文化的美。1978年，她的两个开创性的展览— 索罗门博物馆的美国年轻艺术家展览及惠特尼美术馆新形象绘画展览，把她带进了纽约的艺术世界。 Green曾参与超过110个展览，作品更于九个博物馆的回顾展展出超过十五年，包括纽约现代艺术博物馆（1999），新南威尔士美术馆（2001年），和德国Kurhaus Kleve博物馆（2006年）。她的作品现收藏于纽约现代艺术馆、纽约索罗门博物馆、华盛顿科伦画廊、芝加哥当代艺术馆、维也纳阿尔贝蒂娜，和悉尼澳洲当代艺术馆。 2007年，她获颁澳洲荣誉勋章。
2012年，明尼苏达大学出版社出版了Green的著作An Artist's Odyssey。她的第一本著作Metonymy in Contemporary Art: A New Paradigm于2005年由明尼苏达大学出版社出版，以澳洲土著和印度思想出发，提出艺术评论及创作灵感的新方向。
