簡介

Chun Kwang Young職業生涯開始為畫家，1990年代中期開始進行一系列紙雕塑實驗，作品的規模與複雜性隨年月演變。其標誌性技術由童年時看到草藥以桑樹紙包裹成小包裝所啟發出來。Chun的創作巧妙地融合了韓國傳統的技術、素材，和情感，同時自由地注入他從西方教育中體驗的概念元素。

Chun Kwang Young於首爾弘益大學取得美術學士學位，及後於美國賓夕法尼亞州費城藝術學院取得美術碩士學位。他的作品珍藏於多所公共收藏機構，包括紐約洛克菲勒基金會、紐約聯合國總部、華盛頓特區伍德羅·威爾遜國際學者中心、賓夕法尼亞州費城社會大廈、韓國國立現代美術館首爾分館、首爾藝術博物館、堪培拉澳洲國家美術館、倫敦維多利亞與阿爾伯特博物館，和馬耳他國家美術博物館。

2001年，他獲韓國國立現代美術館首爾分館評為年度藝術家，並於2009年獲文化體育觀光部頒發第四十一屆韓國文化藝術獎總統獎。

1944年生於韓國Hongchun |現居韓國城南市，並以此為創作基地。
