簡介

Tayeba Begum Lipi以針對女性邊緣化作為主題,並以女性身體為主體,創作出不同的繪畫、版畫、錄像及裝置藝術。她最著名的雕塑作品,利用意想不到的素材,如剃刀刀片與安全針重新建構出各種家庭生活日常物品,包括浴缸、嬰兒車、輪椅、梳妝台和女性內衣。選材富視覺吸引力及具挑釁性,闡述孟加拉婦女所遭受的暴力對待,同時展示國家未經發展地區中婦女分娩時所使用的工具。

 

2002年,Lipi與丈夫聯合創辦Britto Arts Trust基金會,致力為孟加拉藝術家提供展覽、舉辦跨文化研討會、工作坊及駐團的機會。

 

Tayeba Begum Lipi 1993年完成達卡大學美術學院的美術繪畫碩士課程,2000年成為都柏林愛爾蘭現代藝術博物館的駐館藝術家。2003年,於孟加拉達卡的第11屆亞洲藝術雙年展獲授予特等獎,2011年第54屆威尼斯國際藝術雙年展中,擔任孟加拉展館專員;2012年參與策展加德滿都國際藝術節。Lipi曾於達卡、新德里、伊斯坦堡和倫敦舉辦個人展覽。此外,更參展2011年第14屆雅加達藝術雙年展、2012年斯里蘭卡哥林堡藝術雙年展,和2012年達卡藝術峰會。

Tayeba Begum Lipi's artwork is on view at the Thailand Biennale from December 9, 2023, to April 30, 2024. The third edition of the Thailand Biennale is hosted in Chiang Rai under the theme "The Open World" and exhibits works by Thai and international artists. The works address topical issues such as history, cultural diversity, and nature and ecology and will be displayed in art galleries, exhibition halls, museums, temples, and historic sites in Chiang Rai.
