Monumental, our summer group show, brings together ambitious works of varying scale—from small pieces to commanding large-format works—all equally powerful and impactful. Included in this wide-ranging exhibition is our first presentation of work by renowned Lebanese American artist Nabil Nahas (b. 1949, Beirut), known for extravagantly textured, multi-layered paintings articulated in vivid color. Nahas’s work is currently showcased at the Venice Biennale in a solo exhibition in the Lebanese Pavilion.
Also on view is a colossal 24-foot-wide abstract painting by Los Angeles–based visual artist and actor Toby Huss (b. 1966, Iowa) and sculptures by glass artist Preston Singletary (Tlingit, European, Filipino, b. 1963), whose work was one of the highlights of our 2023 exhibition of contemporary Indigenous art Native American Art Now.
The exhibition also features paintings and sculptures by a global group of gallery artists including Miya Ando, Chun Kwang Young, Golnaz Fathi, Trishla Jain, Karen Knorr, Ricardo Mazal, Judith Murray, Udo Nöger, Sohan Qadri, Hiroshi Senju, and newly available paintings from the estate of Robert Natkin.
